Previous Training Workshops

During the year 2004, DSC orrganized the following training workshops:
|
- 1st governance workshop (raising concepts & TOT) – for leaders of NGOs, as well as trainers, in Egypt and other Arab countries. (for 15 NGO, 7 from Arab region, 8 from Egypt).
- 2nd governance Tot workshop for 18 NGO members & trainers , including Egypt, was organized. (2 from Morocco, 2 from Jordan, 2 from Palestine, 2 from Iraq, 2 from Syria, 2 from Yemen, 6 from Egypt).
- Good Governance – for 15 individuals from 15 Egyptian NGO.

Participants are from local community organizations, previously selected by project committee
|
|
Participants are 4 from Bashayer, 4 from The Association for Environment Protection (APE), 2 from ADEW, 4 from Deaf & mute community Association, 3 from the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights and 3 from CEWLA. This group has been trained on the following:

- Networking and production of community newspaper.
- Community Needs Assessment.
- Good Governance.
- Advocacy.
|
- Operational Planning – individual – for 4 organizations (Mastaba, Semat, Gudran, & Warsha).
- Management and fundraising for Art & Cultural groups (general).
|
- On Advocacy & lobbying – for 15 NGOs, (including 1 from Iraq and 1 from Sudan).
- Training of Trainers – for 10 Egyptian NGOs ( I from Jordan, and 1 from Yemen).
- Strategic Planning – for 15 NGO, (including 1 from Syria and 1 from Jordan).
- Proposal writing for three organizations in Minya. (20 participants).

- Operational Planning – “The fisher community project” – for Better Life Association.
- Project design – “child Rights” – for better Life Association.
- Curriculum design & planning – “the workers’ school” for CTUWS.
- Advocacy & Lobbying - designing “minimum wage” campaign and “Asbestos prevention” campaign – for CTUWS.
- Report writing – for Better Life Association.
