DSC does not see itself as a group of experts providing support to non-governmental organizations in pre-specified technical and organizational areas only, but as a group of persons involved and committed to the long-term goals of civil institutions working in Egypt, as well as in the Arab region. Therefore it works constantly to develop its interventions according to the newly identified needs and challenges of a growing sector of society.

DSC has developed its approach based on the belief that the science of institutional development has become an essential component in the development of civil initiatives and organizations, as well as of the development agenda as a whole.
